‘What Will You Choose?’ is a work that draws on the aesthetics of retro motel signs to show choice and to place the viewer at a crossroads in time. Will they allow themselves to be pulled back into the memories of the past? Will they be enticed by the possibilities of the future? Or will they allow the present to be the focus of their attention?
‘What Will You Choose?’ is a three dimensional triptych created for the Graduating Exhibition (Grad Show) at the Australian National University School of Art and Design in 2019. It is made of spray painted laser cut MDF.
During Grad Show, ‘What Will You Choose?’ was sold to a private collector and was chosen to be included in the 2020 Emerging Contemporaries exhibition at Craft ACT.
